Indiana EMS Association Joins Forces with Indy Public Safety Foundation to Honor Fallen Heroes
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indiana EMS Association (IEMSA) proudly announces a historic partnership with the Indy Public Safety Foundation, marking a significant milestone in the journey to create a lasting tribute to Indiana's fallen EMS providers.
The Indy Public Safety Foundation, under the dedicated leadership of Dane Nutty, has been the driving force behind this noble initiative, raising an impressive $48,444 through grassroots efforts including their signature event, the "Running with Shears Memorial 5K." Their unwavering commitment to honoring our fallen EMS heroes has laid the groundwork for what will become a permanent memorial.
"The foundation's work exemplifies the very best of our EMS community," said Nathaniel Metz, President IEMSA. "Dane Nutty and his team have created something truly special, and we are honored to help carry their vision forward."
This partnership consolidates the memorial funds under IEMSA's stewardship, when added to IEMSA's previously raised funds of $188,312.50, bringing the total funds available to $236,756.50. This combination of resources and organizational strength positions the memorial project closer to its ultimate goal.
"We are deeply grateful to the Indy Public Safety Foundation for entrusting us with their legacy," continued Metz. "Their dedication to remembering our fallen colleagues has been nothing short of inspirational, and we are committed to building upon their remarkable achievements."
The Association will continue the Foundation's beloved traditions, including the Running with Shears Memorial 5K, that was operated by The Indiana EMS Memorial Foundation, ensuring that these meaningful commemorative events continue to honor our fallen heroes and support the memorial's completion.
